Summer Garden Buildings is strongly committed to the protection of your privacy. Unlike others we will never sell your address or exploit your personal details in any way. You will receive no junk mail, marketing emails or sales calls as a result of any enquiry or order you may place with us. Collection of your personal data
We do not collect any personal information about you unless the information is voluntarily submitted. Your personal data is collected and processed on the basis of contractual necessity. We will not contact you for any marketing purposes and we will not share your personal data with any third party marketing organization. We will only contact you as required in order to provide a service.
We may ask you to provide personally identifiable information which could be used to identify you, including but not limited to your first name, last name, email address, telephone number, address and postcode. We may also automatically collect anonymous aggregated usage data which may include your browser type and version, the time and date of your visit, the pages you visit and the time spent on those pages. If you place an order with us we keep a record of your browser type and version and the IP address when you confirmed your order.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you are the parent or guardian of a child who provided us with personal data, please contact us. If we become aware of personal data provided by a child without parental consent we will take reasonable steps to remove the information from our servers.
You have a right to request a copy of your personal details at any time in order to check the accuracy of the information held. If you wish to do this please contact us. We aim to maintain accurate and up to date records. If you find any inaccuracies please advise us and they will be deleted or corrected promptly.
Use of your personal data
We may use your personal data to complete a contract with you if you purchased products or services from us, to reply to your requests for information or service, to manage your account or to contact you by email or phone regarding products or services you purchased from us or for sales research or with news of offers and services. Your information including your personal data is processed in the UK, mostly at our offices although it may also be accessed occasionally by staff working at home. We use only UK based third party payment providers and UK based web hosting providers. All data is processed within the UK and we are therefore subject to UK data protection laws only throughout every transaction from start to finish.
We may disclose your personal data if required to comply with a legal obligation, to prevent a wrongdoing, to protect against legal liabilty and to protect you, us or the public. We may be required to disclose your personal data if required to by law or in reply to a valid request for information by a public authority.

Financial security, SSL encryption and PCI DSS compliance
When we ask you to submit sensitive personal financial information, such as your credit card number, we use industry standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption technology, making these pages secure. In addition, we have strict security protocols in place to protect our customer database, and only allow access to it when absolutely necessary, and then under strict guidelines as to what use may be made of such details. We do not retain or store any sensitive financial information on our customer database. Our website is always in secure mode so you can view our SSL certificate at any time. We are fully compliant with PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard). We regularly test our security systems and processes and we are validated quarterly by an approved validator which is certified by the PCI Council. We restrict access to cardholder data including physical access and we encrypt transmission of cardholder data across public networks. We develop and maintain secure systems and we regularly update anti-virus software.
